FAQs

Can I really benefit from treatment?

Absolutely. Talking to a skilled practitioner about one's issues can help to ease the burden, obtain new insights, problem solve, and ultimately regain control of your life. Depending on the patient, sometimes both therapy and medication management are recommended. Medication can help to alleviate symptoms while change is taking place. Hopewell offers both services in its Statesville office and/or virtually.

What can I expect in the first session?

In nearly all first sessions, a comprehensive clinical evaluation and treatment plan are completed. A comprehensive clinical evaluation includes testing and differential diagnosis for mental health and related disorders. A treatment plan consists of how to proceed with treatment, how much and what kind of treatment is needed, as well as setting both short and long term treatment goals. Depending on your individual needs, medication management may also be recommended. You have a great deal of input into your treatment plan.

What is telehealth and how does it work?

Online telehealth, is how we provide treatment for individuals with hectic or unorthodox schedules, individuals with physical or psychiatric disabilities that affects their mobility, or individuals who are not within a reasonable driving distance from our office. We utilize a HIPAA-compliant system that is fully encrypted for your security and confidentiality. The current research shows that telehealth can be as effective as in-person visits in many cases.
