Adolescent Issues

Teens today have a myriad of life issues to navigate and try to cope with. Occasionally, these issues can become overwhelming and lead to behavioral problems and other mental health concerns. The teen brain is at a crucial stage of development, where a new sense of autonomy and fresh critical reasoning skills become the catalyst to a more defined self-concept and overall worldview. This is why it is necessary to intervene as soon as possible if behavioral or other problems begin to surface. Our approach to teen treatment is to first and foremost build trust and rapport, and then assist in the navigation of their oft-challenging world. We help them to put any drama or dilemmas into proper context, and to use their developing reasoning skills to make good choices and to do good things.
